Food Food Food
vegetarian restaurant in Melbourne 2

I had an hour and half lunch break so I rushed to CBD to have vegetarian lunch.

Today’s pick is Chan house

It is still new. It opened 18months ago by Vietnam born Chinese couple Fiona and George.  All food serve here is NO GARIC AND ONION

Chan house offers very reasonable lunch set menu

select two choice form daily menu consist of various dim sims, veggie stir-fry, mock meat dishes + rice

Small for $6.5

Large for $7.5

Lovely thing is you can have brown rice for $1 additional :)

I actually went just before closing, just before 3pm so not so many food left and when I came from bathroom, all food was gone! so I even couldn’t take photos :(

Also offers special soup noodle of the day for $8

Today’s special noodle was spicy beef noodle

but it was very hot day so I passed soup noodle

So I was looking at the menu below very seriously for a while….

then I choose ” fried noodle with XO sauce”

why?

I wanted to see if I want to buy vegetarian XO sauce here!

I started from

 BBQ pork ban $1.8

then

fried noodle with XO sauce $9

Noodle with cabbage, carrot, bean sprout, green bean, tofu and BBQ pork.

It is hard to tell from picture but portion is HUGE!

What I love the most is CHILLI SAUCE! As soon as I pour some chilli sauce, I knew straight  away, it is home made!  Taste? YUUUUMMMM!

So did I buy XO sauce?

Yes, I did!!

Vegetarian XO sauce $5.5

I haven’t taste the sauce itself yet. I will open when I go back to Sydney. I can’t wait!
