Vegetarian Syrian dinner

I went to market in Bondi Junction to get  ”chemical free” veggie then I found Syrian food stall.

I actually didn’t know it existed even though this stall has been here for 6 months. I normally just get eggs and vegetable so didn’t pay attention.

then I did closer look, OMG, all vegetarian! ( except one dish with fish )

Very kind guy kept giving me little tasting spoons.. wow, they are all FRESH and very flavourful. YUMMM…

Even though, I had my dinner menu in my head, I decided to have Syrian meal for dinner!

then after thinking very hard ( so many choices! yes, such a lovely problems that I normally don’t have at restaurants ) , I picked three dishes

Put in the plate with bread. Ready to eat!

Olive salad

olive, carrot, capsicum, onion, tomato sauce, chilli and spices.

Carrots were still crunchy, lovely! with slightly sweet and lots of veggie flavours

Broad lava bean salad ( Foul Madamas )

Nice lemony salad :) I pick this for the sake of Mr. Bean ( my boyfriend who loves beans ) but I actually enjoyed a lot. Good protein rich dish :)

Fava beans, chick peas with lemon, garlic, parsley, garlic and spices.

Cauliflower in tahini sauce

Cauliflower with tahini, lemon, garlic and spices.

Very rich yummy sauce. Not only yummy but tahini is great source of Calcium!

I also bought chemical free veggies

so cute mini cucumber with funny shapes

so I better eat these fresh veggies with lovely Syrian food + left over quinoa and bean salad

Healthy !!!!

I will go back to try more food for sure!
