Food Food Food
fruits paradise! but grapes were more than S$119!!

One of the most favourite things to do in South East Asia is to eat tropical fruits

I LOOOOVE mangostin. I haven’t had them for a while cos they are expensive in Sydney. Because of the long absence of eating them, I totally forgot how to open them so asked the lady in the shop how to do.

We bought more than 25 mangostins. My boy friend suspected if we could finish„, well, it was so easy. we were so jet-lugged so woke up 3am, just getting so hungry but nowhere to go to have breakfast.  Mangostine did help us!

After opening more than 25 mangostins, I was so professional to open them :)

Even this man was cutting durians, we skipped to have drain this time. Too hot to handle this stinky fruits…

coconuts, of course.

Coconuts water has naturally full of electrolytes, like a sports drink so it is really great to have when you sweat a lot in this hot weather to keep hydrated.

Guava with chili salt at food court like place, can’t remember the price …maybe $4

Going local supermarket is my hobby (?) but all I could find was Japanese supermarket ” Meijiya”  Seriously, Singapore love Japanese staff. I saw Japanese language and products everywhere!

Anyway, I suspected fruits would be very expensive here but it was not too bad

Dragon fruits S$1.8

I try to appreciate this fruits many times whenever I travels in Asia but I never found them tasty….I better give up liking them

another favourite fruits…rambutan

More mangostine, of course :))))))

Only mangostin came from Singapore..rest of them were either from Vietnam or Thailand. Never mind.

That’s all I got :)))) Lots of fruits make me happy

When my boy friend saw what I got then suspected again when the hell we can eat them…

I must say I had to throw some of them in the Sydney airport….:(((

I was really busy eating lots of food all the time in Singapore, so not much time to eat them. I thought I would be hungry at the airport in Singapore so instead of eating very expensive not so healthy food in the airport, I would eat wonderful fruits but never happened… Well, I did eat some of them at the airport in Sydney but not all…:(

Back to ” Meijiya” the Japanese supermarket,

It got has every kinds of Japanese food you can think of. Sweets, rice, all instant food…you name it.

I thought ” Isetan” the Japanese supermarket in Bangkok was pretty amazing selection but this one is real deal.

Because even fresh veggies and fruits comes everyday!

HUGE mushroom section

full of Japanese mushrooms, enoki, shimeji, shiitake and more from Japan.

Then I found the most expensive grapes in my life!

$119 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder who wants to buy them but obviously there are demand for this kind of price…not for me!
