I just can’t believe that I didn’t know such a fresh, tasty Lebanese food with unbelievably reasonable cost with so many vegetarian choices near my place. It is a heaven for vegetarian ( I am sure heaven for non-vegetarian )
Well obviously famous Lebanese dips are all vegetarian, you know, hummus, baba gannoush etc and salad tabbbouli and my favourite salad fattouch is vegetarian, also veggie side dishes but also mains…I wish I was with 5 more vegetarian people with me to eat them all! Seriously, lots of choices!
Complimentary dish - pickles, dried corn and olives

Luckily there were vegetarian mix platter and vegetarian banquet.
Vegetarian mix platter is $26 comes with hommous, Lebanese bread, tabbbouli, French beans, bahtra (potato with garlic, lemon, coriander and spices) falafel and spinach pie.
Banquet is $30 comes with above plus baba gannoush, vegge, cabbage rolls and cousa ( I believed stuffed zucchini ) with coffee and backlawa.
Well, it was late and coffee is dangerous to drink that late also sweet backlawa give too strong sweet shock
It was nearly 8pm, it is late for heavy dinner with strong coffee and one of the sweetest sweet so I decided to have veggie mix platter and one more veggie main “ Veggie Kibbe “ the pumpkin and wheat rissoles filled with spinach and chick peas deep fried and served with Lebanese salad. Luckily, it was sold out!
Why luckily ? Veggie mix platter was HUGE!
Huge veggie mix platter with fantastic price :)
* menu didn’t say it comes with fried cauliflower but it came with it :) even better!

I was about to order my favorite salad fattouch- salad combination of tomato, cucumber, lettuce, onion, capcicum, radish, parsley and herbs with toasted bread, lemon oil and sumac
I thought salad will be not so heavy but I was advised to wait until see the platter, which we did, and glad we listened. We were stuffed after the platter!
Everything was fantastic but falfel and spinach pie was more than fantastic!
falafel with hummus / beautiful golden colour spinach pie ( next to falafel )

Spinach pie – I bet it was made that day. I can tell from colour and texture. Spinach was still bright green and not too soft. Pastry was golden colour and I think it is hand made pastery. Unbelievable!
Falafel –definitely hand made! Yummm……
I just could not help comparing to falafel from Turkish restaurant in Randwick. horrible frozen packet falfel like taste and texture….We ordered veggie platter as well. Pancake was heated in microwave – I can tell from funny texture…we weren’t full at all and wanted to eat more but seriously didn’t want to spend another cent !
This is vegetarian platter from one of the worst restaurant I have been …..looks alright but HORRIBLE!

After having that experience, this falfel was heaven!
Then we noticed that this platter is only $26…. Dinner for two is $26?! for this quality and volume? No way!
Then Mr. sweet tooth goes…how about deserts? I saw “ Lebanese ice cream “ I don’t know what it is, I was wondering it is like Turkish ice cream??? So I said, well, it is full of dairy and very late and I want to have flat tummy for my summer bikini so say “ YES”
Bouza - Lebanese ice cream $8
With cute rose shape strawberry and lots of whipped cream….
Ice cream? Nnn….it is just ice cream, nothing strange or unique. But we just ate like animals…..we though we could not finish but it was damn easy. Yum
I really think this price with this quality in Eastern suburbs are just magic! I know there are lots of cheap and quality Lebanese in West but I believe price and quality is the same as other Lebanese restaurants in west !
I will definitely go back again with more people!
